Applicants must have Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including:
- English Language,
- Integrated Science, and
- Mathematics.

WASSCE Applicants Admission Requirements at Takoradi Technical University TTU
Applicants must have Credit Passes (A1 -C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including:
- English Language,

GCE ‘O’ and ‘A-Level Applicants, Admission Requirements At TTU
Applicants should pass at least three (3) subjects with a grade of D or better at the Advanced Level in relevant subjects.
Also, applicants must have credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects, including:
- English Language,
- Mathematics, and
- Science or Social studies
Applicants from Technical Institutions Admission Requirements At Takoradi Technical University
TTU accepts candidates with diplomas from other polytechnic institutions.
In this case, candidates must have earned a credit pass or better in English, mathematics, integrated science, and pertinent electives.
Before being formally admitted to the school, applicants who perform poorly in their core Subjects but well in their electives may enrol in a two-month bridging program.
Mature Applicants Admission Requirements
Mature applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 25 years at the time of application and provide proof of age with a birth certificate or any legitimate documents of proof of age
- Have at least three years of working experience and must show proof of work.
- Pass mature students’ entrance examination and interview by the University.
The National Accreditation Board of Ghana will evaluate other qualifications or certificates equivalent to the abovementioned certifications for admission into TTU.
