Introduction
The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) was launched by the United States government as a signature effort to invest in the next generation of African leaders.
YALI Regional Leadership Centre is pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for you to participate in a three-week in-person program focusing on learning, networking, and collaborative action.
This program is intended exclusively for young African innovators and leaders who are committed to making a difference at the intersection of climate action and technology from October 9-27, 2023.
About Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI)
The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) was launched by the United States government as a signature effort to invest in the next generation of African leaders. The need to invest in grooming strong, results-oriented leaders comes out of the statistics: nearly 1 in 3 Africans are between the ages of 10 and 24, and approximately 60% of Africa’s total population is below the age of 35.
Requirements
- 18-35 years
- Fluent in English
- Demonstrate commitment positive impact their community, country, or the continent through implementation of climate tech solutions
- Proven experience and track record in climate tech space
- Willing to travel to Accra, Ghana for the duration of the program from 9-27 October, 2023.
