As part of the University’s 70th-anniversary celebrations, we highlight KNUST’s TranSwift online transcript request and management service developed by the University Information Technology Services (UITS) for current students and alumni of the University.

What is KNUST Transcript?


KNUST TranSwift is an online transcript request and management service that allows students and alumni to request academic transcripts online. Here are some frequently asked questions about requesting a KNUST transcript via the internet.

Features of KNUST TranSwift


KNUST TranSwift has several features, including online application, online payment using popular systems like Mastercard and Visa, tracking of local and international delivery service, and emailing transcripts to multiple addresses.

How to Start Registration for KNUST Online Transcript System


To create an account on the KNUST Online Transcript System, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the KNUST online Transcript System
  2. Click on Register
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Enter your password and confirm it
  5. Click on Register

Note that by clicking Register, you agree to the Terms and Conditions set out by KNUST. Current students should request transcripts through the student portal.

How to Confirm Your KNUST TranSwift


To confirm your KNUST TranSwift, follow these steps:

  1. Check your email to complete your registration.
  2. Check your “Spam Folder” if you don’t see the message in your “Inbox.”
  3. Click on confirm after seeing an Email from UITS-KNUST- KNUST Online Transcript System.

How to Reset KNUST Online Transcript System.


To reset your KNUST Online Transcript System, follow these steps:

  1. On the TranSwift, Click on Forgot Password?
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Click on Submit after entering your Email Address
  4. UITS-KNUST will send a Password Reset Email to the account registration email address.
  5. Click on Reset Password

Transcript for WES Secure Digital


To request a transcript for WES Secure Digital, follow these steps:

  1. Provide your WES Reference Number.
  2. Provide your WES Account Email Address, which is the email address used during your WES account creation.
  3. Click the “Verify WES Details” button on the right to verify the information you provided. A success message will be displayed if the verification was successful. Otherwise, you will be prompted to provide the accurate details.

How to Apply for a KNUST Transcript Online


To apply for a KNUST transcript online, follow these steps:

  1. Go to transcript.knust.edu.gh and click on LOGIN
  2. Enter your username (i.e. transcript@xxx.com) and password. Note that the username is the email address you used during the registration process.
  3. Click LOG IN or press Enter to log in to the transcript system.
  4. Click “New Transcript” on the menu bar of the application.
  5. Select your “Programme of study” using the dropdown field.
  6. Select the “Type of Transcript” you need. Choose either an Official copy or a Student copy.
  7. Select the “Processing Type,” which has only one option: Normal.
  8. Select the “Delivery Mode” of your choice either “Email,” “Email and Hard Copy,” or Hard copy.
  9. Based on the choice you make, additional fields will be required.

How to Request, Pay for, and Track KNUST Transcript Online

Requesting for KNUST Transcript

If you want to request a transcript from KNUST, follow these steps:

  1. Choose your preferred delivery option: Email or Hard Copy.
  2. Select your destination country and preferred delivery option, either EMS or Self-Pickup.
  3. Fill in the recipient’s name, address, city/town, phone number, and landmark/Ghana Post GPS.
  4. Provide the email address, personal for student copy and official for official copy transcript.
  5. Review your request and click Submit.
  6. If you opt for EMS as your delivery option, note that there is an additional cost of GHC 60.00.
  7. If you choose self-pickup, there is no extra cost.

Paying for KNUST Transcript Online

To make an online payment for your transcript:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the “Pay For Transcript” page.
  2. Click on the “Pay For Request” button.
  3. You will be directed to “TheTeller” payment platform.
  4. Choose your preferred payment option, either “Pay With Card” or “Pay With Mobile.”
  5. Follow the instructions and complete the payment process.
  6. If the payment is successful, you will receive a digital receipt.

What to Do if Online Payment for KNUST Transcript Fails

If your payment is unsuccessful, try the following:

  1. Refresh the page and check the status of your request.
  2. If the payment has been confirmed, the status will show as “Paid” in green color.
  3. If the status is still “Pending Payment,” click on the request and click on the “Confirm Payment” button.
  4. If all else fails, contact the support service desk.

Tracking Your KNUST Transcript Online

To track your transcript request online:

  1. Log in to your KNUST Transcript account.
  2. Check the status of your request, which will show as “Submitted,” “Approved – Processing,” or “Sent.”
  3. A notification system will keep you informed via email about every action performed on your transcript request, from submission to final delivery.

Please note that once a transcript request has been successfully submitted, you cannot edit any of the details provided.
